On Monday, we are leaving for 5 days at the Six Mile Lake Provincial campground. We rented a cottage on this lake last year, and we just loved it so much we wanted to return.
The lake is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited.
There was a beautiful sunset almost every night!
Instead of renting the cottage, we decided to camp.......I am not sure why!
I am not a camper. I like the conveniences of home (or hotels). I like my own washroom with a warm shower. I like a warm place to sleep. I like cooking in a kitchen with running water, a fridge and a dishwasher. Don't get me wrong......I love the great outdoors! I love campfires, hiking, boating and tubing. I look forward to spending time with my family. I just don't like camping.
I have checked the weather forecast for the upcoming week, and it does look good. Camping in the rain is even worse. We are packing warmer clothes and extra blankets for the cooler nights. I am going to cross my fingers and hope for the best.
We have a boat and spend a lot of time on the water. My hubby plans on taking us to the Big Chute. This is a lock that actually takes you out of the water and over a road to the lake on the the other side.
We went and checked this out last year. It is pretty amazing. I am sure we will have lots of photos to share when we return.
Wish me luck!
I am sure you will be able to tough it out, think of all the photo opportunities you will have friend...the swimming, the boating, the bugs, the cramped quarters, it will be so much fun..

I give you great credit for camping. I used to do it all the time. Now if I camp I think I will pitch a tent in the backyard of the cottage!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic time
You will have a great time! Camping is fun! Now that lock looks kinda scary to me- you'll have to let me know how that goes.
