For You!

Hey everyone! It's Wednesday and a very snowy one too. We got dumped on again last night so it is a blanket of white. I must say, it is very pretty.

Today I am going to share my project for The Cutting Cafe! We were assigned this adorable red wagon and I couldn't wait to use it.

  IMG_0033

Isn't it the sweetest?  My kids used to have a little red wagon like this when they were younger.  I used to pile them all in there and we would head to the park.

IMG_0036

I discovered a new artist on the Silhouette Online Store and I just love her designs.  Her name is Kate Garfield.  This sweet little hippo really caught my eye and I thought he would look adorable in my wagon.

IMG_0035

The design has paper balloon strings and I replaced them with wire so they would stand up for me.  I added a little tag that I created using one of the Mini Words sets from The Cutting Cafe.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Stay warm and dry.......and create something fun :)

Who Burst Your Balloon?

Last week I introduced you to Maddie by Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps.  This week, I want to introduce you to Max!

 IMG_9956

He is just a frumpy as Maddie is.......just in a boy way.  I love how his hat is on sideways and that priceless look on his face.  After I coloured him, I added a little blue star to his hat.

IMG_9959

I used the sentiment that was included in the set.

IMG_9960

My card base and the stars are from a file off my Silhouette!

IMG_9958

I am really loving working with these digital stamps.  The options are endless and each time I make something it turns out so different.

IMG_9957

Stop by often, as I have many more to share :)

Cheer Up......It's Your Day!

I have been busy colouring again. Sassy Cheryl has been keeping me very busy.  Today I am going to introduce you to Maddie!  She is new for Sassy Cheryl and I had the pleasure of being the first to 'ink her up'!

IMG_9953

After I was finished with the colouring I just couldn't resist adding a little stitching.

IMG_9952

I added a heart button to her hat and the sentiment that comes with the set!

IMG_9951

I used this card for Amanda's birthday.  She just turned 21!  On the inside I stamped 'it's your birthday'.  She loved it.

You can visit Sassy Cheryl's Stamps and check out this set and all the other great sets she has.

Take Time For Yourself

This week at the Cutting Cafe we are all working with the Postage Stamp Shaped Card! I love it. Along with the card template you also get these sweet postage stamp images!

Here is the card that I made using this set.

IMG_9962

I found this adorable mug on the Silhouette online store and thought it would be perfect for this time of year.

The sentiment is from Stamping Bella.

I hope you will visit the Cutting Cafe and try this awesome card template.

You're Never in the Dark!

I have been having so much fun in my new role with Sassy Cheryl! It is so awesome to watch the image come alive as you add the different layers of colour!

Today I am going to share another card I made for a new set that is now available on Sassy Cheryl's brand new website.  You can check it out here!

  IMG_9746

The set is called A Walk in the Light!  It comes with this adorable sentiment......

IMG_9753

It also comes with these sweet little stars (there are four of them in total).  I imported them into my Silhouette and made them into a cutting file instead of using them as a stamp.  I love this feature on my machine!

IMG_9754

I added some die-cut swirls using a die from My Favourite Things.

IMG_9755

Aren't Sally and Bella just the sweetest?

IMG_9756

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest creation.  I hope you have some time to sit down and make something creative too.

Together is a Wonderful Place to Be!

Hey everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! We had a big snowstorm here on Friday so that involved lots and lots of shoveling. The rest of the weekend involved 2 hockey games, a trip to Ikea and a visit with my sister and her boyfriend. I also fit in some creating time too!

This week at the Cutting Cafe we picked our own set to work with! I chose All About Valentine's Day! I fell in love with the 'Together is a wonderful place to be' sentiment!

Here is the card that I made using the sentiment!

  IMG_9741

I love how the 'together' word is larger and the font is amazing!

IMG_9744

I also incorporated my first assignment with Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps and coloured up this adorable stamp.  You can see that I added a bit of stitching on the bears belly and the shoe laces.  I just couldn't resist.

IMG_9743

The stamp set is called Noah & Patches and you can find it here!

IMG_9742

I hope you take a minute and visit the Cutting Cafe and check out the All About Valentine's Day set.  It has 46 different images included!  Also take a minute and pop over to Sassy Cheryl's......she has some really awesome stamps.

Get Connected Online Crop!

Get Connected

There are so many ways to get connected to the world of scrapbooking!

Twitter, Facebook, Email and Blogs are just a few! Two Scrapbook Friends invites you to join them and their wonderful Design Team and be inspired by all the ways we can get connected during our Online Crop in our Forum. Our Designers and the Two Friends will be issuing creative Social Media inspired challenges to thaw your Winter creativity! There will also be games to play and prizes to be won. So get yourself organized......the fun begins today!

I was assigned Instagram for my challenge! Instagram is an online photo-sharing and social networking service that enables its users to take pictures, apply digital filters to them (enhance your photo), and share them on a variety of social networking sites, the most popular ones being Facebook or Twitter. A distinctive feature is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid images.

I have Instagram and I love it. It is a great way to stay connected with people! It gives you a 'snapshot' look into their lives!  For my challenge I created a 3D Polaroid camera.

IMG_9731

I purchased the SVG file from Lettering Delights and used my Silhouette to cut it out.

IMG_9733

It even has an opening in the front and back to have a Polaroid coming in and out.

IMG_9734

I never owned a real Polaroid camera, so this one will have to do :)

IMG_9732

So, my challenge is to use a Polaroid on your project.  It can be a 'real' Polaroid photo, or you can make one.....it is up to you!  I hope you will join in the fun over on our forum.

Want to know more? Here are some of the specifics!

1. Each Design Team Member and the Two Friends will post an inspiring and creative SOCIAL MEDIA based challenge with a great example in the Forum. Once you have completed each challenge, upload a photo of it to our Layout Gallery and link it back to the appropriate challenge thread in the Forum. (ALL LAYOUTS MUST BE CREATED JUST FOR THIS CROP to qualify for prizes. ) Finally, each layout will count towards only ONE challenge. Be sure to upload no later than February 18th at 11:59 pm.

2. There is a special category in the Layout Gallery for each challenge and participants MUST post a photo of their project under the correct category in the Gallery to be eligible for any prizes. Just be sure to resize the photos to less than 500 pixels (width and/or height). Its super easy but you must be registered on the Gallery before you can post. Please let TSF Joanne or DT Christa know if you need help...

3. Now for the best part! There are three prizes to be won: A) random draw for participation, B) random draw for completing all challenges, C) favorite overall winner voted on by the DT and the Two Friends.

4. In addition, the Two Friends and the DT will be choosing a favourite from her own category and that winner will be awarded 50 buttons!

The winners will be posted no later than February 20th on the Forum.

Sending You A Little Sunshine!

It is another snowy, cold, dull winter day and I wanted to create something sunny, warm and bright to to cheer me up! Don't get me wrong, I really don't mind winter and snow......after all, it is hockey season. I just felt in the mood to create something summery.

I was very excited to work with the Sunshine Shaped Card file from the Cutting Cafe! The word cards are so much fun to play with. You can even use them for titles on your scrapbook layouts too!

Here is the card that I created!

  Sunshine Card

Once I had my base cut out and assembled, I added some new SVG's that I purchased from Lettering Delights.  This set is called Weather Girl.  It is the first time I have used files from LD, but it won't be the last!

I added some stitching to my sun and clouds to give it some extra dimension (and let's be honest, I can't resist adding a little stitching).

Sunshine Card 4

I also used this sweet summery girl to jazz up my card.  I just love how she turned out.  I can see me using her over and over again.  You can change up her hair colour and clothing and the possibilities are endless.

The sentiment is part of the Sunshine Shaped Card set.  I printed it out and added the heart button and some string!

Sunshine Card 3

Working on this card has definitely brightened my day.  I hope you will visit The Cutting Cafe and check out this set.
