Little Red Wagon #28

Happy Wednesday........and it is time for another great challenge at Little Red Wagon. Deanna has challenged us to dig out our brads and 'use em up'. I decided it was time to do a layout.

This is my 'superstar' son at his last tournament of the year. I love how this layout turned out. I used a sketch that was provided by my BFF. You can check out her sketch blog here! I used sketch #3.

I tried the new cardstock from Coredinations and added in his team colours with regular cardstock. The letter stickers that I used for the title are from Fancy Pants.....and of course......I added some brads from my stash.

I am also entering the following challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky Challenges - Metal Mania (my brads are metal)

Special Cards

So, I wanted to make the special mom's in my life a Mother's Day card. I am always running short on time, so I snagged an idea from Shelby and used this spectacular paper from Pebbles Inc. I just loved how they turned out.

Here is the card that Shelby made (thanks for the inspiration friend).....

And here are the cards that I made.......

I ended up with one extra card, that I am sure I will find a use for. I didn't spend too much time with my mom this year, as we were invited to Monty's moms for a bbq. I did make a quick stop at her house to drop off the card. It is always a flip-flop between families.

I hope all the mom's enjoyed their day.

Surgery for Cooper :(

The youngest member of our family had surgery on Tuesday. He lost his 'manhood' and had his front claws removed.

Amanda and I are definitely the 'mommies' to our two cats. We actually went to visit Cooper at the vet's on Wednesday. He wasn't allowed to come home until Thursday, and the thought of him sitting in this cage, feeling like poop, all by himself was just too much for us.

He was so excited. He reacted like a dog when he saw us. He was running around his cage, meowing and doing flips (probably not so good for his incisions). We were a little shocked to see the state of his paws. They are usually very white, and they were all blood stained (I cropped that part out of the photo). We gave him lots of cuddles and said our goodbyes. I headed back to the store and Amanda, back to school. I figured it wouldn't be too long before Amanda was texting me and saying how bad she felt for her kitty........sure enough, she was on the phone within minutes.

We rushed out to pick him up first thing on Thursday morning. We brought him home and he has been resting (not so comfortably) ever since. He walks with a limp and sleeps a lot. He is very snuggley and I find him right next to me in the middle of the night.

It will take a couple of weeks, but he will be his old self again soon.

Little Red Wagon #27

Happy Wednesday! Here we are at challenge #27 at Little Red Wagon and Rosanne has requested us to use mainly pink and green.

I used paper from one of the new collections from Fancy Pants. About a Girl had just the right amount of pink & green.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT has put together and take some time to play along.

I also decided to play along with Moxie Fab World's Trigger Tuesday!

This purse is adorable and the colours and it's 'beauty' were my inspiration! Hopefully you have some time to play along with this challenge too!

I also entered my card in the following challenges:

Fab 'n' Funky - show us your fancy edge
Kaboodle Blog - celebrate Spring

National Scrapbook Day Challenge

It is National Scrapbook Day today! I think it is wonderful that scrapbooker's and paper crafter's all over the world will be celebrating this day together.

On the Two Scrapbook Friends forum Joanne, myself and our design team have posted some challenges for the weekend. I was able to squeak a little bit of scrapbooking in and I did Deanna's challenge. She wanted us to use 5 different embellishments on our layout.

I used a transparency, buttons, twine, rub-ons, and bling! All the papers were scraps from my stash. The only really new item I used is the transparency. It is from the new Rusted Sun collection from Fancy Pants!

Join us in some of the fun on the forum and participate in some of our challenges! Thanks for visiting :)
