Little Red Wagon - Fall Theme

This week, I am the host of the Little Red Wagon challenge!!!  Fall is in full swing with shorter days, crisper air and changing leaves.

My challenge is to create anything Fall themed.  I love to make 3D projects so my inspirations is the adorable mini pumpkin.

I used the new chevron/dot papers from Bo Bunny.

I crumpled up the die-cut leaves and then added some brown distress ink to highlight the viens in the paper.  To curl the brown cardstock, I cut thin strips and wrapped them around a pencil.  I found some chipboard accents in my stash and then accented with some twine.

The best part is that it opens up and you can fill it with some special treats.

I hope you will visit the Little Red Wagon blog and play along with this weeks challenge.

Little Red Wagon - Shape It Up

Jan is hosting a great challenge over on the Little Red Wagon blog. This week she has challenged us to 'shape up!  She wants us to make a shaped card......no squares or rectangles allowed.

I have had this file since last year and this was the perfect time to make it up.  Since moving out to the 'country' I have a fascination with farms, cows and all animals in general.

I have been feeling very 'fallish' too, so I added these layered pumpkins with some twine and a little tag for my sentiment.

On a recent bike ride I actually spotted a hooting owl in a tree, so when I came across this flair button I was thrilled to add it to my barn.

I hope you find some time to visit the Little Red Wagon blog and see what the other girls have created.  Maybe you will even find time to create something yourself and link it up to the challenge.

Little Red Wagon - Use Cork

Joanne is hosting another great challenge for Little Red Wagon. This week, she wants us to use cork on our project.

I wanted to make a Thank You card for our vet.  Poor Cooper has not been well, but they have been amazing with their care and compassion.  He is doing much better (for now) and I really wanted to let them know how much I appreciated their kindness.

Here is the card that I designed.  I tried to make the cat look as much like Cooper as I could.

I didn't have much in the way of cork in my stash, but I did find a cork heart that I used to embellish my twine bow.

I have already given this card away, and I must say, it felt pretty good.  I am not really a person to give cards....especially handmade ones.

I hope you will visit the Little Red Wagon blog and check out how the other DT members used cork on their projects.  Maybe you will even find some time to play along and link up your creation.

Little Red Wagon - Back To School

Joanne is hosting our challenge this week at Little Red Wagon!!!  She wants 'Back to School'!!

Back to school around our house is pretty uneventful this year.  No one is in school....they are all working now.  I didn't have to hit the malls or Staples for back to school supplies.  Nice for my bank account, but a little sad at the same time.

To make up for it I created a cute little project that I will be passing along to a very special boy who is starting grade 1!!

The 3D pencil stands about 15" high and the tip comes off so you can fill it with some special treats!!

I also created this school themed easel card to match the pencil!!

The card will lay down flat for mailing, but displays nicely on a shelf too.

I had a blast making up my projects for this weeks challenge.  I hope you will take the time to visit the Little Red Wagon blog and see what the other girlfriends created for inspiration.  Better yet, why don't to play along and link up your project.
