LRW - Layer It Up

Tracy is the hostess for this weeks challenge over at Little Red Wagon and she wants us to 'layer it up'!! We are in the middle of a bad winter storm (and it isn't even winter yet), so it seems fitting to layer things up......like blankets!!!!

I didn't layer up blankets, but I did layer up a poinsettia for this card.  I used a die and my Big Shot to cut out all the pieces and then, between layers, I used some foam dots to create dimension.

I also embossed my background and then added some colour using a Copic marker and the new Tim Holtz Distress Spritzer.  This amazing tool added a fine misting of colour, which I just love.

I added a sequin to the center of the flower and found a sticker for my sentiment.  It was pretty easy to put together and I had fun trying some new techniques.

If you would like some more inspiration, be sure to visit the other girlfriends (by clicking their names on my sidebar) over on their blogs, and see what they have created.  If you play along, link up your creation over on the Little Red Wagon Blog.
