Sending You A Little Sunshine!

It is another snowy, cold, dull winter day and I wanted to create something sunny, warm and bright to to cheer me up! Don't get me wrong, I really don't mind winter and snow......after all, it is hockey season. I just felt in the mood to create something summery.

I was very excited to work with the Sunshine Shaped Card file from the Cutting Cafe! The word cards are so much fun to play with. You can even use them for titles on your scrapbook layouts too!

Here is the card that I created!

  Sunshine Card

Once I had my base cut out and assembled, I added some new SVG's that I purchased from Lettering Delights.  This set is called Weather Girl.  It is the first time I have used files from LD, but it won't be the last!

I added some stitching to my sun and clouds to give it some extra dimension (and let's be honest, I can't resist adding a little stitching).

I also used this sweet summery girl to jazz up my card.  I just love how she turned out.  I can see me using her over and over again.  You can change up her hair colour and clothing and the possibilities are endless.

The sentiment is part of the Sunshine Shaped Card set.  I printed it out and added the heart button and some string!

Working on this card has definitely brightened my day.  I hope you will visit The Cutting Cafe and check out this set.
