I am excited to be heading to Scrapfest Oshawa! Whenever I travel I always worry about who is going to step up and do all the things that I do at home. That is the 'mom' in me, I guess.
Everyday I get up with my kids and make their lunch, keep them on schedule and out the door to catch the bus.
Matt (my youngest, 14 yrs) is very good about getting up when his alarm goes off, getting his breakfast and into the shower to be ready when his friends come to call on him in the morning.
Jason (middle child, 16yrs) likes to set his alarm and then shut it off when it goes off and go back to sleep. I have to wake him up everyday! He usually gets involved in whatever show is on TV and forgets to take the food from his plate and put it into his mouth! Eventually he makes his way up to the shower.......not sure what he does in there, but it takes forever! I have to remind him to take his lunch and he is usually running to the bus stop!
As he was leaving today, I reminded him that I would be away until Saturday night and that he would have to get himself off to school Friday! He looked at me and said "You mean get up myself? You mean leave on time? What if I miss the bus? I will have to walk to school? UGH!"
I think what he was trying to say was "Mom, I love you and I will miss you........I appreciate everything you do for me. Have a great trip and I will see you when you get home"
What do you think?
lol.. too funny! I hope you guys have fun! Wish I could have been there!
ReplyDeleteI think that is absolutely what he was saying ... good thing you can read between the lines! Have a great time in Oshawa. Remember to get some sleep!
ReplyDeleteI think your right.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that's exactly what he meant.
ReplyDeleteI have to laugh that one of the boys (not sure which one) called the store, asked for you then realized you were gone. LOL
Have a great time.
LOL Carolyn We can only hope Jay meant that...maybe have him read your blog and find out.
ReplyDeleteAh you are such an adorable Mom and once he is an adult he will translate that for you and it will mean exactly what you thought it did!
